Up, Up and Away

Blue Origin is hiring (and making me wish I were working). They are trying to create spacecraft for tourist-type flights, aimed at people of normal means. Go here and watch all of the videos. I don't know if this is the wave of the future, but I sure hope so.

Beam Me Up, Stephen

Stephen Hawking has said again that we must colonize space to survive. I'm not sure space colonies will save us in the long run; John Scalzi's Old Man's War comes closest to my idea of what we'll find when we get out there -- lots of competition . But I really, really want to go anyway. I think making the effort will work wonders for us.

Plus, I just have itchy feet. I'm pretty sure Go Forth is at least as deeply ingrained on my soul as Multiply.
